2024 Spring Alley Clean-Up
When: Saturday, April 27, 2024 (rain or shine) beginning between 8:00 and 9:00 AM and ending around 12:00 PM (Noon)
Where: Meet and end at the Pocket Park, 209 E. 33rd Street
Details: Here is an opportunity to meet your neighbors and work together to keep our neighborhood looking great! This is a kid/family friendly event.
8:00 to 9:00 AM: Gather in the Pocket Park to meet new neighbors, enjoy coffee and donuts, and discuss the plan of attack.
9:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc., will provide gloves, bags, tools, and a dumpster placed outside of the park. Please wear appropriate work clothes and closed toe shoes. Feel free to bring any of your own tools, especially tools that may help us trim back overgrowth in the alleys.

Details: It’s time for the Annual Cajun Brunch, everybody! Mark your calendars, whet your appetite, and bring your favorite cajun-inspired or complementary side dish or dessert. There will be amazing food, great conversation with neighbors – and bloody marys and mimosas. This year will also feature a TV RAFFLE! Don’t miss this springtime favorite.

As we approach the conclusion of 2023, it is with great enthusiasm that I share the remarkable strides we have made toward our long-term neighborhood goals.
History
The Historic Meridian Park neighborhood was farmland until the turn of the century. Then a bridge over Fall Creek and the personal automobile made commuting downtown much easier. This suburban environment, distanced from the noise and smoke of downtown, quickly became desirable and supplanted Woodruff Place and Irvington as the most exclusive and fashionable neighborhoods of their day.
